The innovative blast architecture program is based on the principles of architectural composition. Students learn elements of architecture, industrial design, town planning, statics, aesthetics and general synthetic concepts like rhythm and balance. The basic materials used in the program are the LEGO® Architecture Studio set, a variety of colorful LEGO® bricks and other materials.
Each lesson is based on a concept, which children interpret, propose their own version and justify their ideas. They choose the appropriate materials and shapes in order to construct an object, a building or a city, that meets certain specifications. They present, evaluate and improve their proposals.
The creator and main instructor of the program is Marina Stamboli, an architect experienced both in education and building design.
